The project was an endeavor to raise tourists’ awareness on Egyptian monuments in a part of the Historical Cairo through using new technologies which should facilitate their visits and activities. The project idea was focused on creating a mobile application which can assist tourists who visit the Fatimid monuments in Historical Cairo and in particular El Moaz st. to know more historical information “by using the Augmented reality new technology”, in addition to, more data on shops activities, restaurants, cultural activities, hand crafts and other relevant information the tourist may need in his visit for the street. The application should be available in three languages Arabic, English and French. Publicizing the application on social media should help orient people on this application.
